My students come from a large variety of backgrounds and all come together to work hard and achieve success! They have such a high intrinsic motivation and want to succeed. They love helping each other out and encourage each other to succeed even after just becoming a school community a few weeks ago! They want to do better and be better at everything they do. They make me so proud to be their teacher by their strong sense of community!
My Project
These materials will help me implement flexible seating. Our students love to come to the carpet to learn. Why? Becuase they can get out of their seat and sit somewhere different! Long gone are the days where kids sit still while teachers teach. They want to move! Help me make my students comfortable by having this durable items to use for flexible seating! They will have many different options using the things from this project. Of course traditional desk options will be available to those who wish to stay there. For the others, they will have the option of sitting in different areas or standing! I can imagine two kids seating on the Flex-Space bean bag reading to each other or collaborating on a multi step math problem! I believe the couch will be extremely welcoming and make a cozy climate for our classroom!
