This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It's not difficult to get my students excited about learning. Many have a tough life, but when they walk into my classroom they let down their barrier and start to have fun. I believe in them as much as they do, and sometimes more!

We are here to learn and grow together.

My students know I care about them as a person first, and they come back year after year to visit me. I am so proud of how hard they work and their level of determination.

My Project

Our school is over 50 years old. Our classroom is in one of the original buildings. Although many updates and upgrades have happened over the years, our windows don't open and air just does not circulate well.

This HEPA air filter will help keep everyone SAFE!

We cannot return to the classroom any time soon. The Covid infection rate in our area is just too high. But when we do return, I want to be ready to protect my students the best ways I can! Even after Covid, my students will benefit from our HEPA air filter during other cold and flu seasons.
