Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Music goes beyond language. Over 90% of DES are minorities (87% Hispanic & 6% Black). I need your support in creating an Electronic Music Setup. Music Tech encourages creativity, critical thinking and supports STEAM which is 21st-century skills.
Your support will provide close the gap to transform the Music Room.
I have been able to gather a few iPads, microphones, keyboard and other pieces of gear. With a printer & an projector I will be able to create and document student's creations and take this project to a whole new level.

My Project
All my students want to create music from pop to jazz, Latin to hip hop, they all share an immense amount of creativity. Over 1/3 of my students are English Language Learners, just like myself, and fortunately, music is a common language in my room.
The implementation of technology opens the door for Kinder to 8th grade to experience the drum set, world music instrument & even record their own songs.
I have been given the amazing opportunity to rebuild a music program from the ground up. With your help, instrumental music & music technology will make RCD Elementary an amazing music program
