Bozhoo! I am an elementary nurse for a school with 500 wonderful students. Our school is located in the heart of a Native American Reservation in northern Minnesota. Our population base and geographical location combine to create an extreme economically disadvantaged area. I am fortunate to see many children throughout the day and have very much enjoyed getting to know all of them. They have all inspired me to become a better nurse and I feel fortunate to help them all!
My Project
I am the nurse for 500 + students at the elementary school. There are many mornings that I see children that are in need of everyday items that we, at times, take for granted.
There are many times I've seen kids come into the school without their hair combed, teeth brushed, deodorant applied to name a few.
I feel these children should have what they need to help them start their day feeling good about themselves. That's where the simple, every day, hygiene items will help them with that. Having these products on hand can help them learn healthy lifestyles.
