I have such an amazing,eager to learn bunch of students. Their imaginations are overflowing and they are so eager to learn to write and share their stories. I hope this is the year they connect their thoughts and are able to write them down to share with everyone.
I teach at a small rural school.
Around 80% of the population receive free or reduced lunch. We may be lacking with funding, but not with a love for learning. Funds have been cut so much. I try to buy as much as I can but I just can't buy all that would benefit my kiddos. It would be amazing if we had a wonderful little writing center in our classroom where we could learn to write good, strong sentences, that turn into paragraphs, that turn into stories. This group of kids have such wonderful imaginations and are eager to become writers. If we had a writing center that was organized and kid-friendly I know it would help me to help them be more eager to writers. Thank you for considering helping our classroom accomplish this goal. My Project
The materials I am requesting would help organize our writing. It would help me to create an inviting, organized area where they could write, store their pieces, and have all the materials they need at their fingertips. It would be a place where I could set up prompts, begin thoughts, get their creative juices going in order for them to create wonderful writing pieces. It would be a special "office" for them to share their stories. They would be able to store their writing pieces there and it would make it easier for me to grab their folders and conference individually with them. This center is a dream that I hope to accomplish for my future writers.
They will gain knowledge of how to create thoughts, pre-write, check over their writing, revise it, and publish it.
Your donations would make 18 little kiddos, as well as this grateful teacher, very happy.
Reading and writing go hand in hand. Becoming better writers makes better readers. Lifelong love of reading and writing is what I hope ti instill in these kids. They will be reading and writing for the rest of their lives. I want them to be the best they can be and I want them to feel proud and accomplished. Each one is special in his/her own way and they can express that through becoming better writers.
