I have a wonderful and diverse group of students. I have over six different languages spoken in my classroom. A lot of these students are homeless and do not have permanent homes of their own, and do not have a lot of their own belongings. Many of my students speak very little English and have just recently come to the United States as refugees from other countries. The diversity in the classroom can cause challenges for teaching, but it also makes my room unique and special! I wouldn't have it any other way!
My students love to learn, laugh and play!

My Project
I am requesting packages of socks, underwear and pants for my students. We have a number of students in our school who are refugees that have just come to the US. Through DonorsChoose and other generous people, I am able to support these students and supply them with whatever they need during the school day, but I would also like to help supply them with basic materials they need at home after they leave school.
Many of my students come to school in the same clothes they wore the day before.
I want to be able to provide my needy students with fresh socks, underwear, and pants so they can be clean and comfortable in and out of school.
