My students need ink and color printers for our special education program.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I have an amazing group of students, who enrich my life each day. Many of my students face severe communication problems each day. Having alternate ways of communicating with this is crucial to their development as students and learners.
"Presume my competence. I can do it!"
I teach students on the Autism Spectrum.
They love listening to music, reading stories and having fun with their peers. Our school is very high poverty levels, so having a safe, and inviting classroom is something that I hope for each day for my students. Many of my students face social, emotional, behavioral and communication issues each day, but are improving each day.
Many of my students face severe communication problems each day. Many of them need visual picture schedules and icons around the classroom to help them with communication. I am requesting color printers for our autism program, so that each autism class has a color printer to be able to print icons and pictures for the students communication. Our school site currently only has black and white printers, so it makes it very difficulty to set up picture icons for students without color. With the use of the color printers to print icons, we will be able to communicate more openly and easily with our students.
These color printers will help my students be able to communicate more efficiently.
Many students with autism have behavior problems because they have difficulty communicating. I am hoping that by helping them to communicate more easily, it will help reduce behavior issues, therefore making learning more accessible for my students.
