Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Student's at SJHS have been hit hard by COVID-19 and the impact from school closing. Our students are some of the most at risk students in our state. With such, students' mental and physical health have suffered, along with their academic progress. By supporting this project, students will benefit from an upgrade to their physical health education and exercise program with a direct impact in the quality and equipment available to them. The weight rack will allow students to have a safe and effective place to learn lifelong skills for physical health and conditioning. This is such a needed item because multiple students can use it to learn proper squat and bench form, while also allowing for a safety bar and body weight exercises. The jump ropes, medicine balls, and battle ropes, will all allow large groups of students to have an effective and complete workout. This project will not only help current students, but will be a fixture at the school and to help students for years to come.
