My Students
My students love to learn and they love to come to school. But now they are faced with a new normal, distant online learning and the Coronavirus pandemic. This is hard for students with special needs to navigate, but they are getting there, even better than some teachers.
My Project
Due to the closure of the schools, a few of my special need students don’t have access to books, exercise routines and snacks. Special need students need to be stimulated both mentally and physically to help meet their needs. The books will allow the student to have a high interest novel and it will allow me to have a book discussion that they can participate in enthusiastically. The exercise cards will allow me to assign a routine that they will be able to learn on their own. The snacks will give them something to eat between meals While helping to ease the financial crisis on the parents. The fidget spinners will help the students to focus and be able to concentrate and stay on task while sitting in front of the computer.
This pandemic is teaching us how to teach and learn in a way we never thought possible.
Many parents of special need students has kept their children inside for a month now because with their needs, sometimes there are other health issues. Let’s make this stay at home a little easier.
