My students need a few robotics parts. Our EV3 and Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Well help students have some hands on experience with programing and robot building.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our dedicated students are all low income students. They are part of our special Early College Program in which low income, at risk, and first year college students can earn an associates degree. Many of these students have never considered an engineering degree or computer science and they are all very exited to have these opportunities.
This is the first year we offer robotics as a class and it has been successful so far.
We are part of a growing school that is slowly adding more computer science classes. Helping us will allow these students get more exited about computer science and STEM Fields.
My Project
Allowing students have some hands-on experience building robots and creating autonomous machines, they will be preparing to tackle more innovative problems in the future. Our program is fairly new to the school, and having a few "toys" to help students develop skills will be a great addition to our program.
Students will be able to use these materials to build robots for competitions and allow our school to gain some recognition.
These will be used in class and out of class to help recruit students into the program that helps our community. Being part of a rural community, many students don't always venture out and earn a college degree. Through our program they can make this a reality. The industry is calling for more Computer Science degrees, and our robotics and computer science programs will help expose students to these job fields. Its our small way that will allow big change to happen.
