My Students

We are a classroom of inquisitive fourth graders from the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana. We are eager to learn about our world and we want the world to learn about us! My students love to swim in Flathead Lake, play outside, learn about their world, and laugh!

My students are so thoughtful and full of creativity.

I hope to inspire my students to learn about the natural world, and how to take care of it. My students come to our classroom each day eager to explore new challenges and projects. We learn about the world around us by engaging in hands on projects that help us be great stewards to this amazing place where we live.

My Project

These materials will allow my students to learn about how plants grow and what they need to survive and thrive. We will be tying this into how each student needs different things as well. The hydroponic system will be an addition to my classroom soil started seeds that we grow in the spring.

Our year long study of how people interact with the natural world will be greatly enhanced by the different types of plants we will grow with this project.

We will learn how the life cycles of plant families operate and how they are affected by different environments.
