Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach third grade in a school district in Pennsylvania. My students are caring, quirky and hard-working. They love to learn and are curious about the world around them. Each one of them is their own person with their own unique perspective. They come to school, ready to learn.
Due to a variety of external circumstances, many lack the resources to support their learning in order to read on grade level.
They are capable of great things and I want them to gain more confidence in themselves and in their reading.
My Project
My students love to read and are constantly woking to improve themselves. These Comprehension packs would provide engaging opportunities for the students to receive meaningful instruction on their level, during small group. Most of my students are below grade level readers and working to close that gap is of outmost importance.
Reading is integral to a student's success and these tools would ensure that all of my students receive opportunities to interact with text on their level.
Supporting this project would be supporting my student's reading fluency, comprehension and vocabulary knowledge. Please consider helping to provide these tools for my students to grow.
