Helping Kindergarteners Get Comfortable

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions!

I've never had a group of children who are so excited to soak up as much knowledge as possible.

They all have very different interests, and my classroom provides the ability to meet all those needs. One thing they all share in common, though, is the desire to wiggle during the school day. So rather than squash a child's innate need for movement, flexible seating options in the classroom will benefit my students in channeling their physical energy in a positive way, allowing them to focus on their work more and reach their full potential as learners.

My Project

Flexible seating will help make my classroom more fun, inviting, and comfortable! The Hokki Stools and Flex-Space Wobble Cushions will add to the choice of comfort in my classroom.

It is important to me that I create a classroom environment that meets the needs of ALL my students.

Having a class full of 5 and 6 year olds leads to very busy-bodies.

I believe that my students will benefit from having the choice of where and what to sit on, especially if it's a seat that can help calm their bodies while being engaged in learning.

I'm excited for the new flexible seating choices in my classroom!
