We are a school of approximately 400 kids in rural Illinois. We have a large number of students who come from low-income households. I am wanting to purchase 3 microphone devices that will allow the kids to hear me/us better as we are wearing masks during our teaching.
We want to do our very best to help students have a successful 2nd grade year.
This handheld microphone device will allow them to hear us clearly and make communication better within our room as we teach and engage in conversations. I would also like to purchase additional microphones for my 2 fellow 2nd grade teachers to help them during this time as I see they are struggling as well.
My students are wonderful. We attend every day from 7:40 to 1:00. I have 14 face to face and 9 remote learners. My colleagues have about the same number of students. We teach from 8 to 1. We record lessons in the afternoon. This microphone will allow us to serve all students more effectively. Students come to school each day ready to try new things and take chances in order to grow academically. They are positive despite many changes this year.
My Project
We will be using these materials to aid our teaching in our classroom and during our recordings. We currently have face to face learners and remote learners 5 days a week. We have noticed that many of them are unable to hear us because of our masks. We want to make sure all students can hear us to be successful and work to their full potential. We will use the wireless microphones while teaching all students. We feel these microphones will be a great asset to our classrooms and will be used every day.
