My Students

The students at WA are a wonderful group of children who come from many different school districts to attend our charter school. Our students are a diverse group from many different cultures, which gives our school a unique student body, unlike most schools. Since the school opened last year, more classes and additional grade levels have been added, along with other fabulous teachers. This allows more families to be a part of our WA community and is giving more students the opportunity to get the success they deserve.

My Project

Every day I am lucky enough to work in two classrooms as an instructional assistant. This allows me to reach the needs of 18 first graders and 21 second graders, a total of 39 students! Many of these students use technology to help them be more successful in math, reading, and writing.

This iPad will help many of my students succeed and reach personal and academic goals.

I will use this iPad as an educational tool. It will be set up to utilize amazing online programs and apps. It would assist me in lessons for literacy as well as mathematics. It will also help me track student progress and modify lessons for students who learn differently. The kids in these two classrooms love using technology to explore and learn. Getting this iPad would be another way to make learning fun!
