Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Why are my students special? Despite their surroundings, they come to school every day, ready to learn. We live in a very low socioeconomic area. Many students are living in poverty, and school is the only "fun" they have all day. Between the teachers, parents, and community leaders, we all try to do whatever we can to make learning fun and enjoyable. My students are close to my heart, and, with your donation, we can make them successful.
As a teacher, I spend between $1,000 and $2,000 each year on all items needed to help my students.
Manipulative are a very big expense.
The more our school cuts spending means the more I need to spend on my students. The items I am requesting will help my students better learn. One thing I have requested , will help them learn to draw animals and other things when they write a sentence . This will give them confidence.
My Project
I need different tools to help me teach. I need the privacy partitions to help me during testing. Story Stencils will help me draw and show the students how to draw. Sight-Word Sentence builders are great to get students use to writing sentences. Word family flip books will help students learn how to rhyme, and then how to independently write and read. Wipe boards help the students with writing and building words.
Everything I have asked for will benefit my students learning experienece.
The more manipulatives I can offer them, the better they will do in class, and the better their learning experience will be.
