Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our classroom is fun, energetic and personalized.

We have access to plenty of technology that enhances our learning daily.

The only problem is, we have no headphones! We would love your help to fund this project to really take our learning to the next level! My students come from a low income area where access to different technology and their accessories do not come easily. I want my students to be able to experience the technology that has been provided to the fullest.

I lead a personalized learning classroom where there are many different things happening all at once.

We have created an environment that makes learning fun and seem natural. Students can often be found in a corner on a comfy pillow listening to computer lessons. The kids love to use technology to enhance their learning. The only problem is our classroom does not have headphones to use with our devices! This makes for a very noisy room at times, and can be distracting.

My Project

My students are often engaged in lessons on their Chromebooks and iPads, but the whole class has to listen to it! Each student has lessons individualized to meet their needs. Without headphones, the whole class has to listen to their lesson! We are a Title I school and the students have been asked to bring in their own headphones, but many do not have the means to provide these types of materials. My students are always asking if we can get headphones, so they can hear their lessons better without a friend also listening in!

Your donation to this project will provide privacy for each student while they use technology devices in the classroom.

These headphones are just what we need to complete our learning environment, and we would appreciate any help you could provide to us!
