Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In my class, we focus on how we can get things done and not what we are not able to do. I teach a self contained, third through sixth grade class. All of my students have amazing abilities as well as some challenges. Some of my students have speech and language deficits while others have learning disabilities. We do not let any of those challenges get in our way of learning.
All of my students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Many have not had the opportunity to experience the world outside of our backyard. We do not have a local museum nearby or a STEM center. I want my students to have the opportunity to learn hands-on and in a way that will leave a lasting impact on them.
My Project
Help make an unforgettable hands-on experience of learning about the human body. Through the Fascinating Facts Human Body game, students can learn about the functions of our different body parts and the anatomy of the body.
My SDC Students will experience the human body like never before with these hands-on resources.
They will be able to learn through play in a fun and engaging way. This will allow my students who have difficulty processing text to be able to engage with the curriculum.
Students will have the chance to learn through the human body games in a way suited to their needs.
