My students need durable headphones so they can practice their literacy and math skills in the computer lab. This help me differentiate instruction and work in small groups.

My Students
I have a class full of hardworking, kind kindergarten students who enjoy coming to school to learn and explore. My students are curious and are eager to learn new things. Every day my students impress me and make me proud to be their teacher.
I work in a Title I school in Connecticut where 100% of the student receive free lunch.
Any student who does not have an a nice warm jacket is given a free one along with a backpack that includes school supplies. My school participates in a backpack program, so students have food to eat on the week. In my classroom, I have a wide range of abilities, which makes each student unique. Half of my classroom are English Language Learners. Who have made such growth since the beginning on the year.
My Project
Students will be using these headphones in the computer lab and in small groups working on tablets. When my class visits the computer lab, the headphones are broken in half or the speakers do not work. This makes it difficult for my students to listen to their learning programs. Visiting the computer lab is difficult for my class because we do not have the right resources available.
Many of my students do not own computers and/or tablets at home.
Most students are lacking the skill of using a computer/tablet because they have had limited exposure. My goal is to use these headphones, so my students can go to the computer lab and become familiar with technology. I believe this is important because as they progress through school using a computer and or table is essential and beneficial. These headphones will help my students succeed.
