Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my third, fourth, and fifth grade special education class is very rigorous, and students are expected to focus for long periods of time. Most of my students struggle to focus for even five minutes! My students are some of the hardest workers I know, and they are always eager to learn.
I work in a low income community where students cannot afford supplies and most receive free or reduced price lunch.
I strive to give them all that I can both academically and emotionally.
My Project
During my daily lessons I, as well as my students, use dry erase boards (mine just happens to be a larger version). Unfortunately the teacher and student dry erase boards have lost their ability to be erased and have become a huge mess. YUCK!
These dry erase boards will ensure that students receive the supplies they need in order to succeed during the school day.
I am also asking for dray erase markers, chart markers, and chart tablets. Our markers are also growing legs and disappearing. Oh no! All these materials will help me help my students succeed in day-to-day activities.
