My Students
I teach 21 amazing and adorable kindergarten scholars. They enter my classroom with big smiles, happy, and ready to learn. Many students that come to our school do not speak English and have no preschool experience. We also have exceptional students included in our class.
We are a Global Magnet Title I School serving 65% low-income families who speak limited English.
We offer Mandarin Chinese and Spanish to our students. Our school also serves parents who work multiple jobs to help make ends meet.
My Project
Given students the opportunity to learn the skills of basketball is a dream for some student. Our coach will be instilling the students with the necessary fundamental skills of basketball. Many parents do not have the money to enroll their child on a team. At our school, the coach will work with 15 to 20 students after-school to provide them with the knowledge of basketball. The coach need basketball, uniforms, and whistles to run an effect team. Our coach will use the uniforms every Saturday as we play different schools in our community.
Teaching students the importance of working together as as team will support their learning throughout their career.
Some students may take up this sport and could be millionaires in their lives.
