My Students

We have one desktop computer in our classroom. It is shared between the students, my inclusion teacher, my classroom assistant and myself! This makes it very difficult to include the use of a computer in our technology center. I would love to be able to offer my students a notebook computer to use!

I teach language arts literacy to 75 grade 6 students in a high-need community.

My classes vary in academic levels and include general education, English Language Learners (ELL) and special needs students. My students make teaching fun! They absolutely love to learn!

My Project

A notebook computer would be a major asset in our classroom. As I previously mentioned, we only have one computer in our classroom, which is shared between the students and the teachers. It makes it very difficult to schedule lessons that would incorporate technology. Having this notebook computer would allow us to have a computer, for the students, available at all times in our technology center. The portability of the computer will allow me to use the computer for various center activities, as well.

Your donation will make it possible for my students to have a Compaq Notebook Computer readily available in our classroom technology work station.

Students will be able to use this computer to research information on the web, type stories/reports, create and deliver power point presentations, play educational games and simply have access to a computer, which many of them do not have at home.
