My students are four and five-year-old children, many of whom are experiencing a school environment for the first time. We are housed in a Title I school with all children receiving free and reduced-price meals. We serve children who are considered at-risk based on many different factors. My job as their teacher is to make learning fun and exciting!
The students in my classroom are passionate about learning and eager to investigate a variety of topics.
The children are able to explore different themes/projects through many hands-on activities set up in the classroom and the outdoor environment.
My Project
Our children enjoy drawing, writing, and creating in the classroom writing and art center. With eighteen preschool children using these supplies, our materials are running low at this point in the school year. These materials will assist our children in developing fine motor skills as they draw and write about a variety of topics. The different types of paper will be used for differentiation among the children as some are ready to write on their own and some children still need blank spaces. The storage bins will be added to our art and writing centers so the materials can be easily seen and accessed by all children.
