Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with an awesome group of Bilingual 1st grade students who are enjoying all their new adventures in 1st! The school is in a high-need community with VERY limited resources. Many of the resources used in my classroom are provided by myself and a few donors who have given to my students. Many of my students do not have their own library of books at home and unfortunately we also lack a classroom library that allows them to immerse themselves in the adventures books offer! My students also enjoy learning through technology and hands on activities. I am working towards providing more books, technology, and hands on activities for my students.
My Project
The supplies in this project are needed to run the classroom. The cardstock and paper will be used to print and create centers for the classroom. It is very difficult to find pre-made centers in Spanish. These supplies will help me by providing the supplies I need to create our own centers for my students. The chart tablets will help with teaching some of the skills learned in class and the rest of the supplies are just basic supplies needed to run the classroom. Your help with providing these supplies will help with our every day needs to make our students successful.
