This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need support in helping them to stay organized. These planners will provide them with that opportunity and using a planner will be a transferable and lifelong skill.

My students are in 4th grade and are in an ICT classroom.

Approximately 40% of the students are students with disabilities and 60% are general education students. They are a diverse body of learners and need individualized supports to help them to achieve.

My Project

All of my students have the potential to succeed. However, in order to do so they need to be provided with the necessary resources. These planners will enable them to stay organized so that they can keep track of assignments, projects, to do items, and due dates. Using the planners, I will build lessons around how to use them to stay organized, not only for school but also within their lives.

This project is important because it provides students with a lifelong skill.

The common core learning standards are written so that students are college and career ready. Using a planner is a skill that is needed in almost any job and is certainly essential in college.
