Help me give my students a renewed subscription to RAZ-Kids, an online reading resource giving them access to a wide variety of engaging books at their reading level.
My first-grade students are a group of enthusiastic, energetic and excited little learners!
Each day, students come to class eager to learn and make the most out of their time at school.
Our school is a Title I low income school, and even though this does provide some challenges at times, we do everything we can to help all of my students succeed. My students are very appreciative and each day are learning and practicing how to be kind and caring individuals.
My Project
A RAZ-Kids subscription will allow my whole class to have continued access to books that are at their individualized reading level. Students will read books and be able to take comprehension quizzes to check their understanding. Each student is given their own "RAZ Rocket" set to their individualized reading level where they can read and earn star rewards. The more they read and understand, the more stars they receive and can decorate their "RAZ Space Rocket". This space theme is what keeps students excited each day!
RAZ-Kids is an online resource that truly helps to keep students motivated and engaged.
Students look so forward to the next time they can go on, read a fun story and earn more stars. My students love using technology and this is a great resource students are able utilize on a computer or iPad in our classroom and are able to go on during reading centers and during our small group instruction time each day. This subscription also gives students access to it at home. If they don't finish one of the books in class they can log in at home and continue reading! In addition, students can also create art projects and crafts that go along with the books that they read to extend their learning and understanding. The possibilities are endless with access to these great books! With your help, our reading will truly "blast off" and these books will take us out of this world.
