Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school has a very diverse population. A great portion of the students are eligible for free or reduced lunch. My 6th and 7th grade students are eager learners who love to complete hands-on activities. They enjoy discovering answers to questions through inquiry lessons. As a science teacher, I understand the importance that hands-on activities have on the retention of concepts.
My students will benefit greatly from the fulfillment of my project.
My Project
Science is definitely a class in which hands-on activites are vital to enhance a student's ability to learn a concept. During this unusual time, sharing of supplies is limited. My request includes several items to help sanitize supplies and desks between classes so that students stay healthy. I have also included hand sanitizer for students to use to keep their hands germ-free.
Preventing the spread of COVID-19 is a main priority this school year.
The students on my class will utilize the items daily to help us all stay healthy and well.
