Help us STEM-ulate our 2nd Graders! Class Visitors are Coming!
My students need assistance in paying the cost for a class visitor. This visit is for a STEM related workshop that will be taught by the company Bricks 4 Kidz.
I am a second-grade teacher. I have a wonderful group of students! They are constantly impressing me with their hard-working attitude, amazing work ethic, and overall positive outlook on life. I am so proud to be their teacher. They deserve the best education possible.
I teach at a rural, Title I school, serving approximately 300 students.
Every child receives free breakfast and lunch. We are located near a large military base and as a result, serve children of active duty and retired military. Our students are bright and eager to learn new things. They are hard workers and strive to make their world a better place.
My Project
"Bricks 4 Kidz" is a company that offers various camps, workshops, and in school visits for kids, where all the programs are STEM based. A Bricks 4 Kidz class visit uses the Lego bricks kids love, to deliver hands-on lessons related to cross-disciplinary curriculum objectives. Our school's 2nd graders will explore STEM lessons while reinforcing and reviewing their Math and Science standards. It will also help them to work on their team building, problem solving, and critical thinking skills as they work together. With this class visit, our kids will be able to take home a part of the presentation with them, because this experience allows for the students to have a "souvenir". This would be a life-changing event for all of them! I strongly believe in my students, and want the best for them. I truly feel that they will benefit from this class visit.
Donations to this project will reinforce the students' understanding of important STEM topics.
