We are a class of 23 super excited second graders - 13 girls and 10 boys. 8 students receive reading intervention and 1 student receives services for special needs. Our school is Title I (84% qualify for reduced-price/free lunch) and is located in a large urban city. These students have limited experience and access to technology.
Our recent study of technology has sparked an interest in robotics among my second graders and we would love the opportunity to bring robots to our classroom!
What could be more fun than a robot? How about 6 robots! Our class would love to add 6 Botley Coding Robots to enhance our STEAM (Science, Technology Engineering, Art & Math) learning! With Botley Robots, students will be introduced to coding through active play.
Imagine the excitement in programming your own robot and watching him go!
With Botley, students will be able to use a remote programmer which transmits commands, giving students hands-on experience with critical thinking and problem solving as they navigate obstacles and unlock hidden features.
These Botley robots would be an awesome addition to our STEAM learning and inspire students to strive for future careers in a high-tech job market.
