This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come to school each day hungry to learn. They strive for greatness and always give their best effort. I teach in an extremely low-income area of Detroit. My students are strong. They have overcome things in their life that no child should have to endure.
My students are products of their experiences.
They want to learn and grow. They love trying new things and always accept any challenge. My students work together to not only challenge each other but to help each other. We are a family.
My Project
My students come from a really tough economical area. Many of them do not have the adequate winter attire. I am trying to help my students prepare for frigid temperatures that are coming soon. I make them scarves and purchase gloves and hats, but buying boots for them is very expensive. Please help me get my students ready for this harsh winter.
Many of my students walk to school with shoes that are not acceptable for the winter months.
Please help me to get me students ready for winter by donating boots to our classroom. Thank you for your support, we really appreciate it.
