Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is a STEM magnet school which emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. My students come to school not only ready to dive into inquiry, but also to focus on helping others and being kind.

My second graders also enjoy reading and helping out to keep our classroom organized.

They thrive on being part of a classroom and school community. It is exciting coming to school each day as their teacher and watching them grow and learn how to care for others.

My Project

My second graders are becoming more independent students, and they need classroom mailboxes and a book display.

With the classroom mailboxes, they will be able to file mail themselves during the day and with the book display they will be able to keep our author study books organized in one place.

Second graders love learning how to keep our classroom organized and these materials will help them take responsibility for keeping it organized.

These materials will help our classroom run more smoothly during the day, and will ensure every available moment is spent learning instead of trying to organize materials without proper organizers.
