Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic, eager to learn, and fun-loving. Despite some tough situations some of my students face at home, they come in every day really giving it their all. Coming from an urban district at a Title I school, unfortunately my students do not have as many supplies and opportunities as the surrounding districts.
"The most important attitude that can be found is the desire to go on learning." For this reason, I work extra hard to raise money for supplies that will be used by my students.
These supplies benefit my students in so many ways, and it also teaches them a deeper lesson of how good the world can be. Over the years when I have told my students that we have gotten a project funded and we were getting supplies, the looks on their faces were priceless. My students are so appreciative, and donations from kind-hearted people really impact their lives in such a major way!
My Project
I am asking for materials that my students can use for our field day and continue using during recess! Many of my students do not have a yard to play in so the only time they can play is when they are at school. At school we do not have many things for the kids to use so that is why I am requesting materials for the students to use while they are playing. The jump ropes will be used daily during recess, at field day and also will allow our class to participate in jump rope for heart!
Please help me make their recess time at school a healthy, active and unforgettable one.
Your donation will not only give my scholars an opportunity to work out, but to learn about responsibility. The students will be responsible for cleaning and taking care of their equipment. The children will also have a chance to work together when completing some of the athletic games at recess as well as on field day. The ball throw and water balloon toss will be done in partners and groups so the students will have to work together. Teaching them important life long skills like begin active and coopering with others while having fun and enjoying the outdoors. The theme that we are trying to do for field day is superhero which is why i have requested the masks and the leis! Lastly I asked for some candy to give the students a tasty treat to reward them for their hard work!
