My students need an instrument repair kit to repair the instruments received through our instrument drive.

My students are so excited when we receive a new instrument through our instrument drive!
Minnesota has one of the worst achievement gaps in the country.
I work at a public charter school proving that all children are capable of success, regardless of zip code, race, or other factor. 95% of our students qualify for free or reduced price lunch, and 99% of our students are students of color. 100% of our students are on the path to and through college.
We are starting a band program at our school to empower our students and enrich their lives with music. Because 95+% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch, we are providing all instruments, supplies, and instrument maintenance. We have acquired a small inventory from our ongoing instrument drive; however, many of the instruments are not yet playable because they need minor repair. With the requested Teacher's Travel Repair Kit, I would be able to fix many of these instruments and quickly get them into the hands of a student.
We recently had a nearby school lend us drumline percussion instruments so that we would have more instruments to offer our students.
The students involved in our drumline have changed so much in six months' time. Their heads are held higher, they have become more confident in themselves and their abilities, and their attitudes towards school are incredible. By donating to this project, you will literally change the lives of many young, deserving scholars.
