I teach eighteen wonderful children in the New York City area. Many of these children come from low-income families and do not have the resources to enhance their academic skills.
These children are fun-loving and full of life and they deserve to have the resources they need to help them succeed in school.
We have a great school, but due to budget cuts, it's hard to get the funds for the materials we need in the classroom. You can help make a difference in these children's lives.
My Project
We need your help to save lives. My school took a 6-hour training course on CPR today. It made us all realize we can help save life’s when we have the right equipment.
So many people stop breathing for one reason or another.
I have actually seen a person go into cardiac arrest in front of me and die. There was no AED machine ( defibrillator) anywhere around. Today in my classroom a child was choking. The adult in the room at the time helped the child and was able to get the food item out. Yes, all of this happened today. If she didn’t get it out and he stopped breathing an AED machine would have kept his heart going. I never thought I would ever have to ask for a machine but children’s lives are on the line and I want to be prepared for any situation. Please donate any amount.
