My Students

As a teacher, I work at an awesome school. My students are faced with difficult situations every day. Because of their life situations, many of my students don't get to experience a lot of things. My students all want the ability to experience and learn new things.

I want to help my students experience things that they might never have a chance to.

My students are creative and excited about learning. I want to try to help them grow and learn about our world outside of the classroom. I want to help them learn that through education they can go on to do whatever they want to in this life, no matter where they came from.

My Project

My business students are learning about being entrepreneurs and how to run a business. They are excited to put the things they are learning in class to use to practice their skills. They want to raise money and donate it to some of the service projects our school does throughout the year.

My class wants to try to run a snow cone business during lunch.

They will market their company, track revenue, and conduct customer satisfaction surveys. They really want to see how what we are learning about in class actually applies to running a business.

We want to also use this project in our Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club. This would help us out in several of the competitions that the club offers. We would run the business and then report on it for the competition. We would also build a website showing what we learned. My students really missed having clubs at our school last year and are excited for this year's activities and competitions.

My students want to start doing hands-on things in school again. While online learning can be great, my students want to use what they have learned and actually apply it in a hands-on way. Students have missed interacting with each other the past couple years. This is a great opportunity for my students to get to interact with each other again.
