My Students

Early Childhood Special Education is a passion for me. I recently started teaching in a different district, and I am in need of new materials. I teach in a low-income area. My students are aged 2 through 5 with a wide range of needs.

I strive to find the best way for each child to make progress.

Each student needs different adaptations and materials unique to the child. My goal is to prepare each child for grade school and to be as successful as possible.

My Project

My students have sensory and gross motor needs. The sensory need many have is vestibular motion. They like to rock! The other is gross motor. Many also do not have the ability to go up and down steps.

This rocking boat will help my students sensory and gross motor needs!

It is so perfect for my classroom. On one side students can rock together or independently. Flip it over and students can practice using steps. This is a wonderful tool in any early childhood special education classroom.

I would use this on a daily basis. This would provide my students with help in two areas which they very much need.
