My goal as an educator is to produce energetic, enthusiastic, curious and healthy learners. As an early childhood educator, it is important that I teach my students how to maintain a healthy well-being that includes healthy eating, exercising and maintaining a positive attitude.
I teach in a multi-age kindergarten and first grade classroom.
I have a class full of very kind, smart and active students. My students are always eager to learn new things and ready for a challenge. I am a big believer in the power of brain breaks and movement throughout the school day. My students would really benefit from having additional resources to help exercise their core muscles while being able to stay focused on their work. Research has also shown that these chairs help students with ADHD to remain focused for longer periods of time which improves their behavior overall.
My Project
My students would absolutely love these chairs! I just recently purchased some regular yoga balls to sit on and everyone has been eager to use them. These chairs are even BETTER than regular stability balls because they have a back rest which helps with supporting the back and spinal alignment. They also have rolling, lockable wheels which prevent the balls from rolling all around the classroom when left unattended. My goal is to eventually replace all of the students' chairs with these stability ball chairs.
