Our students live in the Appalachian foothills of southeast Ohio and attend one of five public elementary schools in the area. We have about 440 students in our building, ranging from preschool to fourth grade and we need to do more to help our environment!
Together we can make a huge difference in our community, but we need a little help.
Our students live in an area with high levels of poverty and resources are limited. However, recycling is something that EVERYONE can do! We live in one of the most beautiful places and need to do our part to help protect the community that we live in.
Our school is looking to step up our recycling game and decrease our waste. Currently, most classrooms do not have a proper recycling bin. What does this mean? Many students do not learn to recycle at school. We ensure that our students learn reading, writing and arithmetic, but we need the future adults of our planet to understand the significance of caring for the earth as well. It’s hard to stress the importance of recycling when you don’t have recycling bins readily available throughout your school.
Can you help us provide a proper recycling bin for each classroom so that we can better protect our environment?
We would like to purchase 35 recycling containers for our school and your support would be greatly appreciated!
