Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 5 and 6-year-olds who love learning. They live in an area that isn't always an easy place to live in. Regardless of their living environment, they are so eager to learn.
We start every day with a "Good morning" and "It's going to be a great day!" My students know they are loved and are going to be in a safe and fun learning environment.
They may come to my class with family issues, but when they walk in my door, it's just our little class family to focus on.
My Project
We are focused on learning to read. I'm hoping to add some new center activities. I love when my students can have fun and enjoy learning. I think the double sided magnetic tiles will create fun and excitement to building and reading words.
The wiki sticks are another great activity for letter and word building.
I also picked out a letter making activity to help with letters recognition. It's exciting to see them learning.
Our goal is to have everyone reading, writing and ready for first grade! Plus the love of learning. I'm hoping to make learning a fun experience.
