My students are special-education students with unique learning challenges. Some students have disabilities, while others just need additional strategies and tools to be successful. These "special students" are so special to me, and I strive to provide them with all of the necessary tools they need to learn successfully.
As a teacher at a low-income school, my students are faced with many obstacles in their everyday life.
My students come to school looking for a safe place. A place that is bright, colorful, and engaging. A place that they ultimately think of as their home.
Having plenty of computers in our classroom will allow us to bring the outside world into the classroom through real-world lessons. The lessons will become more meaningful when students can see actual events.
Your help with this project will aid my students in their day-to-day learning.
With new Chromebooks and Google Apps like "Read and Write," my students will be able to work independently and successfully on assignments. Read and Write will read stories and activities to them, as well as, type the answers they give orally. This independence builds their confidence, and also allows me time to work one-on-one with other students.
Your help will make a huge difference in my students' present and future learning through technology.
