This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This book is about a world without fish! What a great book to coincide with our unit on populations and resources. Students learn how populations grow and shrink. In our ever changing world, I want students to learn about what resources organisms need to grow and thrive. Our school is on a beautiful lake in Denver, Sloans Lake, and we can use this book to understand what's happening right in our own community! A few years ago, the lake was overwhelmed with algae bloom and this book could help explain to students how creatures living in the lake might respond. This book has visuals, large print, and and engaging cover so I know students will love to turn the pages of this amazing text!
