This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come to school wanting to learn more each day. They love setting goals for themselves throughout the school. Our school is a Title I school located in a low-socioeconomic area. Some of the students at our school are experiencing homelessness. Many of their parents work very hard to provide as much as they can. Sometimes work can be hard to find in our area. Still, they do their best to provide the needs of their children.
My students enjoy learning.
They come to school with smiles on their faces ready to take on each day's lessons. They love working together with their classmates. Even though their struggles, they want to learn. I want my students to be able to get the best education, no matter where they live or who they are.
My Project
We are requesting new novels to add to our classroom library. Many of my students love to read. They have begged me to request a few new novels to add to our library because they know they will go through my entire library before the end of the year.
We are also required to present our learning to the class.
This sometimes requires us to print out materials for our presentations. This is our reason for requesting the toner.
We are requesting the ladder because who doesn't love having their work on display? This will assist me in being able to post their work safely as some of my display space is too high for me to reach.
