Do you remember how you felt waiting for the first game of the season and all the preparation that took place to get ready for it? My female athletes share that excitement of waiting for and then finally getting to compete on their respective court and/or field. These girls have the desire to become not just better athletes but better people across the board!
Many of our students are using athletics, in addition to their academic achievements, to get offered a scholarship so that they may build a better future for themselves.
More than half of our students at THS are from low-income households. With that being said, many of our student-athletes have jobs in order to help support themselves and alleviate the pressure put on their parents. They know what hard work is and they are not afraid of it. They thrive in situations others would have a very hard time facing. We really do have great kids that want to better themselves in every way and I am so proud of them! Go Bobcats!
My Project
These 48 softballs would help make our practice SO MUCH better!!! We have right around 60 girls in our middle school and high school softball programs, grades 4-12, that all practice at the same facility and use the same equipment.
With that said, WE NEED MORE EQUIPMENT!
Our girls want to get better and we need more balls to be able to provide them with an efficient practice. Operating like we are right now, we are not able to get in as many reps as we would like. These balls would be a huge help in making that possible.
Please consider donating these balls to our softball program!
