Help Us Pick a Winner!

My students need new science books in the library so that they can continue to develop and research experiments for our school science fair.

My Students

Students at my elementary school have the opportunity to come to the library as a special class. During this time we learn library and research skills. By having this class, I hope to help them be prepared for projects they might encounter at the middle school.

Our library is lacking the materials and resources needed to aid our students in creating spectacular science projects.

I try to add by supplementing my given budget by buying these books on my own. I want to have resources available for our students to come to the library and gather ideas for out science fair each year.

My Project

Our science fair books are in desperate need of updating. Our science fair is for grades third through fifth and is open to the community to view. With the addition of these book to our library, I hope to not only grow an interest in science but also to help the students realize that our library can be a great source of information when completing a project.

With all the access to technology today, I feel that libraries need all the help they can get to create a place for the students to want come to.

I feel that these books will help the students create science projects that will be current and exciting to present. My hope is that these books will also allow for students to gain knowledge of topics in the different areas of sciences and maybe even spark an interest for a career in their future.
