Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Save music in our schools! Music helps students in all aspects of their academics. From math to reading to science, music has been proven to help students succeed in all areas.
I teach the Beginning Band, 2 Jazz Bands, Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony classes that range from sixth through twelfth grade students.
My students love Music and are intrigued about creating Music with technology.
We are a Title I, low income/high needs school in Miami, Florida. Most of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Without the music program, these student would not have the opportunity to pursue a musical instrument. Technology is a huge factor in a successful music program. Our students need to be able to utilize and benefit from technology in the classroom.
My Project
The Microsoft Surface pen is needed to use on the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 we got donated. It will allows us to create music and music projects with our new surface.
The wireless mouse will be utilized with our band room computer so the students can use it while using Smart Music, Finale and researching different music projects and countless other things.
These small items will help our students in a big way. Our students are working to achieve the highest levels of music through composing Music and performing Music. My students love to create music in all different styles and periods of Music.
