My Students
Our school is a 7th grade only campus with approximately 664 students. Our students participate in literature circles within their English Language Arts classes and get to choose a book to read within a small group. We are a new school and we are slowly building our library collection. We have tons of avid readers who routinely check out 2 fiction books every few days. It is difficult to keep pace with our voracious readers! However, it is our hope to add more books that will appeal to our students' interests and reading levels.
My Project
Since we are a new school, we are adding to our library collection almost daily. We need more adventure fiction books to reach the readers who enjoy going on a mission or trying to escape a catastrophe. Your generous donation to our project will help build the adventure section of our library which will be available for all students.
Our ultimate goal is to get our students excited about reading and coming to the library. In turn, we hope students will finish one adventure book and come back to check out another one! The more our students read, the better their spoken and written communication will be.
