Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Due to staffing shortages this school year, my PreK students no longer have their gym class at school. Gym was always a fan favorite!

The resources requested in this project will help to ensure that my students are not missing out entirely on gym experiences and that their gross motor skills are being developed.

Some of the gross motor skill resources I have requested include: balance beams, soft squeezable cotton balls covered in fabric shaped like comet tails to toss and catch, and magnetic alphabet fish that float and can be "caught" using a fishing pole with a magnet on it.

We will use these resources in the classroom and while outside for recess so my students can practice and develop their gross motor skills . Gross motor experiences are crucial in PreK. Thank you so much!
