Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love being a school-based speech-language pathologist because of my students! I currently serve 65 children from ECE to fifth grade. I love my students because they come to school ready to work and eager to lift each other up!

My students are resilient and so much fun!

My Project

I am in need of additional materials to keep my students engaged and motivated!

These toys and materials will be used to teach various speech and language components and reward my students for their hard work.

These materials will be used to teach basic concepts, such as prepositions and other spatial/language concepts (i.e. put the Pom Pom in the house, next to the house, on top of the house). These materials will also be used for students working on articulation to be able to see their mouth, tongue, and teeth in the mirror while they speak. My students frequently work hard to earn "prizes" to motivate and reward them for participating and trying their best.

My students and I truly appreciate that opportunity to continue growing our brains and becoming the best and most successful communicators we can!!
