My students need new equipment to play at recess. We need jump ropes, hula hoops, balls, bean bags and other items that kids can play with at recess time.
All of my students come from lower-income families but come to school ready to learn, love, and share. My kids usually have a difficult time acquiring even the most basic of educational supplies such as paper and pencils, never mind creative supplies such as calculators, paper, markers, and colored pencils.
My students are eager learners, and they love school.
We are located in a caring community that helps meet our students' basic needs. My school also has many inclusion classrooms where special needs students thrive in the classroom.
My Project
Outdoor recess is held in back of our school. It is a concrete jungle.
There is no grass to play on.
It is surrounded by chain link fence. Due to the large number of students on the playground at a time, we rotate, by grade, the areas for the students to play.
I am requesting new and exciting playground equipment for our students. I would like to replenish our balls and add new and exciting games that would promote good sportsmanship and team work. I am requesting items such as: balls, basketballs, hula hoops, bean bags and team building games. I know the kids from my school would really appreciate receiving new playground equipment.
