This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our school is located in an urban setting.
Our students are very limited with opportunities outside of school to learn about taking care of their health. Being as a majority of our students come from low income house holds, many students find it hard to make healthy decisions when they are limited in decisions. We want give our community/students the tools make healthy informed decisions and maintain active lifestyles, regardless of hardships and obstacles that they may face.
As urban Physical Educators it is our duty to ensure that all students are given the tools maintain a healthy lifestyle and be active.
My Project
With assorted PE equipment, including Speed Stack supplies, basketballs, nutrition resources and more, we are hoping to further health and nutrition education for our lower grade students. We provide our lower grade students with comprehensive wellness education which discussed and focuses on the importance of healthy eating, active lifestyle and character education.
Our Middle school students will continue on the path that we have set them on. The materials will help us facilitate collaborative games which encourage various aspects of fitness and further build character.
All materials requested will be used and will be very helpful to improving our students overall both physically and mentally. If we continue to educate our students and give them the tools to become healthy world citizens, the world will be a better place.
The donations will better our classrooms by enabling us to provide our students with quality physical education.
At our school physical education is not limited to traditional sports as many other schools do.
At our school we see physical education as an opportunity to improve and build healthy world citizens. We work provide our students the knowledge to improve themselves. With the equipment requested we can offer a variety of activities and help appeal to our diverse student body.
